Blogging around the world...

Hi dolls!!

Long time no blog, I guess is the phrase. I can't actually believe I haven't posted since MAY...that is crazy!
I'm currently sitting in a big comfy bed, in an amazing hotel room, in Seoul (South Korea). Quite literally the other side of the world for me and no surprises it's 11pm and I can't sleep. So along with copious cups of tea, pot noodles, peanut butter M&Ms and series 3 of Gossip Girl I thought it was about time I logged back into Blogger and got things up and running again.

So where have I been for the last 4 months I hear you asking? Well here's a little recap:

As you probably remember me mentioning a few hundred times I was waiting to start training for my new cabin crew job. This was originally supposed to be early May but I had some referencing and medical problems (none actually my fault!) and I didn't end up starting until June 13th, which was also the day before my birthday.

First day was daunting but more of a meet & greet session with lots of paperwork given out, lots of information relayed and ice breaker type activities.
Being the huge football fan that I am I was so so excited when the World Cup fixtures were announced back in December last year and one of England's group games happened to be on my birthday. So months beforehand I already knew that I wanted to have a football party, get all my friends round and get in a load of beers and takeaway pizza...and that's exactly what we did! It was the first proper party me & G have had in our new house and we had such a fun night (obviously apart from the football score, England drew 1-1 with Italy which little did we know would be the highlight of the tournament for England).
Then Monday came...Cue the toughest, most stressful, emotional, hardcore, intense but amazing 6 weeks of my life! Now don't get me wrong I've experienced a tough 6-week cabin crew training course before with my previous airline and I know how hard it can be but this was something else. There were 20 people on my course in total and I genuinely have made friends for life. These 19 other humans are the only other people who know exactly what we went through, how much work we put in and how elated we were to finally make it to the end and get our wings on July 29th! They will forever be my flying family! Similarly with my last airline I am still in touch with people I trained with, I don't think you ever really forget your training group.

Now here I am nearly 2 months later typing this in South Korea wondering where the hell the time has gone. My first operational flight was on Friday August 1st to Chicago and since then I have been lucky enough to go to Basel, Vienna, Helsinki, Manchester, Miami, Capetown, Bologna, Paris and now Seoul...and I've just found out that next month I have Rio de Janeiro, Nairobi, Hamburg, Tokyo and Las Vegas to look forward to.
I know how fortunate I am to be in this position and that thousands of people would kill for this job but is it what I thought it would be? No!
In fact maybe that's the wrong question to be asking myself, I knew exactly what the job would be and what it would entail but does it make me happy like I thought it would? No! ....and I don't know what to do about it.

Has anybody else ever experienced this feeling of wanting something so badly your whole life and then once you have it, it turns out maybe it wasn't right for you after all? I feel so awful thinking this let alone saying it. My poor family and friends have put up with years of me moaning about other jobs and I have had to borrow so much money from my parents to get by up until now, as I still haven't had a proper months wage. But I just can't shake the feeling of dread every time I have to pack a suitcase an go away again and I REALLY didn't expect to feel like this!
It's time to be honest with myself and I really am struggling. It turns out I am much more of a "home" person than I ever knew but when it's taken so much to get to where I am now I just can't give up this easy. Can I? How long is long enough to give something a go? Do you just know if a career change isn't right for you? I miss G & Marley so so much while I'm away and literally count down the time until I get to go home again. Don't get me wrong the places I am visiting are amazing and I am so so lucky to have the opportunity to travel like I do. Once I get to a destination and am out exploring and having new adventures I really do enjoy myself but when I get home again I never ever want to leave.
Each and every night before I'm due to fly off again me & G have the same conversation in bed. Me saying "I don't want to go!" And G saying "don't be silly". Even when I am so so SO excited to go somewhere for the first time, like Rio de Janeiro in a couple of weeks... I have been DYING to go there ever since I found out I got this job. Especially when there was a chance I could visit during the World Cup, but when it comes down to it I'd rather just be at home with my boys...and I'm not sure it's normal to feel like that?

Sorry this has been abit of a ranting post. I think I needed to get some of these feelings out of my system...maybe some I didn't even want to admit to myself.

I hope you are all okay and have had amazing summers. I pinky pinky promise I will be making so much more of an effort to post more regularly now. Once I stop feeling sorry for myself I will start some travel posts as well.

Wish wednesday....

So bit of a new one for me but being the total shop-o-holic I am there are about 1000000x things I currently want need in my life! Each Wednesday I thought it would be fun to share these bits & bobs with you & see what you think.
I'm currently out of action job wise (a little trouble between leaving my current job and starting back as Cabin Crew) so I'm very very poor and unfortunately these will have to stay on my wishlist rather than my shopping list for the time being.....although it is my birthday in 2 weeks!
I am totally besotted with these Lipsy Bethan Sandals!! RRP £65.00
I've had my eye on these babies for a while now after seeing Michelle Keegan wear them on a night out a month or so ago. Now I'm really really wishing I'd bought them when I first saw them because this weekend she wore them again to the National Soap Awards and they seem to be sold out everywhere and have disappeared from the Lipsy website! Disappointed is a big understatement! I'm keeping an eye on my account and will definitely be snapping these up if they come back in stock in my size.
Next up you may have seen me tweet the other day that I've discovered have SO many gorgeous skort playsuits out at the moment. There really are tonnes to chose from but here are two of my favourites both RRP £20.00
Left the Kianna Cap Sleeve Cut Front Skort Playsuite and right the Kaya Long Sleeve Lace Plunge Skort Playsuit

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

A few weeks ago I bought my first two Real Techniques brushes - really no idea what has taken me so long either? You can read what I thought of the Expert Face Brush here but today I'm going to share my thoughts on the highly recommended Stippling Brush.
Similarly to the Expert Face Brush, the Stippling Brush can be used on the face for all types of makeup: Concealer, Foundation, Bronzer, Blusher, Powder...basically anything you can think of.
The brush is described as "the trade secret for creating air brushed, high-definition results" which lets be honest, is a pretty big claim!
Again it's made of synthetic, duo-fibre bristles that are still the softest thing my face has ever had the pleasure of being stroked with! The special thing with the Stippling Brush is that the bristles are in two layers, base bristles which can pick up and hold the product and longer, top, feathery bristles which are what give that smooth flawless finish.

Now don't shoot me for saying this but I don't love this brush....I mean I like it, I really really do like it and it definitely gives me a more flawless look than when I apply my foundation any other way but maybe I was expecting more?
I'm not sure what more exactly but this product has been SO hyped in the blogosphere I guess I was just expecting a perfect airbrushed finish and unfortunately my face is still far from perfect.
I have actually only used the brush with cheapy drugstore foundation so far so that may have something to do with it. I'm assuming the better quality foundation I use the better results I'll see so maybe I'll re-review when I open my Studio Fix Fluid (currently being saved for my new job).
I would definitely recommend this brush to all my friends. It is amazing! The idea of two levels of bristles achieving different things is genius and something I've never come across before but it really does work and enable you to achieve a much smoother finish from the comfort of your own home.
To be honest I would just keep buying Real Techniques for the softness of their brushes alone - simple things!
Do you own any Real Techniques brushes?
What do you make of the Stippling Brush? (I feel like I've been unfair!)
Did I expect too much?

Mr Nutcase custom iPad case

Last week I was very kindly offered the chance to try out a custom iPad case* from
Mr Nutcase are a relatively new company offering customers the chance to personalise a phone or tablet case with their own photos, text, clip art or use one of the pre-made designs from their own collection.
Unlike some companies specialising just in the more popular brands of phone, Mr Nutcase can cater for a wide selection including Apple, Blackberry, HTC, Samsung & Sony. Cases are available as Ultra Light Weight Slimline, Executive Flip Leather Style or Full Wrap Around Premium Edition and start from £14.95 which I think is really really good value. Most custom made photo collage phone cases, especially for iPhones, are much pricier than this.

Being the absolute photo hoarder that I am I obviously opted for a photo collage design but the catalogue of Mr Nutcase's own styles & prints looked fab.
When clicking through the website and designing your own case everything is very clearly laid out and simply explained. I was able to chose from a wide selection of collage layouts which was great, I hate being stuck with your standard 3 x 3 square photo layout if that isn't the look I want.
I chose a collage of 16 photos so I could get the maximum in (I definitely find it difficult to whittle my photo selection down to just a few! ha!) and used various size & shapes. I also chose an iPad rather than a phone case because a) I just so happen to have updated my iPhone case recently and b) I thought my photos would be better on a larger case but after seeing other bloggers reviews of phone cases I definitely don't think this was something I needed to worry about as even small images on smaller cases seem to come out crystal clear.

I absolutely love my case and have already had compliments from anybody who has seen my iPad - even a random lady on the train this morning asked me where it was from! The picture quality is great, even though most of my pictures were just simple iPhone snaps and nothing special at all. The case is the perfect size and fits my iPad snuggly ensuring it definitely won't pop out & become loose in my handbag.
I was so so impressed with the whole process of ordering from Mr Nutcase. Everything was super easy, smooth and communication was brilliant. All Mr Nutcase case's are dispatched the next day so they ensure you're case is with you really quickly. I ordered late on a Tuesday and my case was here by this morning.
I'm delighted to be able to offer Sparkle Bug readers an 10% discount on any case from Mr Nutcase. Simply enter the code THANKU10 at the checkout.
Do let me know if you order anything, I'd love to see your creations!

Nivea In-Shower body moisturiser

Today I'm going to introduce you to my new holy grail product.
One of those new ideas that has actually impacted my life in a good way & made long, effort-required moisturising sessions  a thing of the past.
Being a lover of fake tan moisturising my whole body has always been an important step of my beauty regime that I just can't afford to skip (queue the streaking!)
Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser has been on the market for maybe 6 months now and for some reason I had never got round to trying it. The other day I noticed it was on offer & popped a bottle in my basket quicker than you could say bargain!
As you can probably imagine by the name this product is designed to minimize all the hassle of moisturising by enabling you to do it while you shower. You simply wash as you usually would with your shower gel, scrub etc.. and then apply the moisturiser as a last step. You literally slap it on, all over your body (or wherever you'd like to moisturise), wash it off immediately and are left with silky smooth moisturised skin for up to 24hours - even after towel drying.
I am actually amazed! Why nobody invented a product like this sooner is a mystery to me? After moisturising with Nivea In-Shower Moisturiser my skin definitely does feels silky silky soft, just as if I had moisturised before bed time and let a thick layer of product soak into my skin all night.
The consistency of the moisturiser is a little greasy but it that doesn't translate to the skin. It's also not as thick as other moisturisers that I would use so a little bit really goes a long way, especially mixed in with the water of the shower spraying down at you.
I'd say the idea of moisturising and then washing it off is very similar to using conditioner on your hair and the moisturiser does feel a little bit like conditioner to the touch. A little slimier than your average lotion, if that makes sense. It reminds me of the thick Tres Semme conditioners.

The Nivea In-Shower products now come in Original, Rich, Nourishing Cocoa, Pampering Honey and After Sun which I'm gutted I didn't think to pick up before our holiday!!
Obviously I was drawn to Nourishing Cocoa with that being my favourite scent (smells IN-CRED-IBLE by the way) but I'm seriously tempted to try the whole range now.
They usually retail at around £3.50 for 250ml or £5 for 400ml but are currently on offer in Superdrug
Have you tried any In-Shower moisturising products?

NOTD MUA Bold Blue

I'm definitely aware that I seem to be turning into a bit of a MUA addict!
What can I's just too hard to walk past that stand when everything is so so cheap. I reason with myself that it's definitely worth trying everything because even if it turns out to be rubbish it was only a couple of pounds right? And then the products turn out to actually be quite good and my addiction has just grown and grown.

I already own MUA polish is Pistachio Ice Cream, a gorgeous mint green which I love, so didn't hesitate in picking up two more pastel shades that I knew would be perfect for Spring/Summer.
These two were Bold Blue and Lush Lilac (a pale pastel pink).

Bold Blue is the perfect pastel sky blue. I haven't actually seen many polishes this exact shade before, most pastel blues are your traditional "gifts for a baby boy" baby blue so the fact that this polish matches the beautiful skies we've been seeing the last couple of days definitely intrigued me.

Image: MUA
...and I'm pleased to announce this colour hasn't actually left my nails since I bought it. Sorry Lush Lilac you haven't even had a look in yet!
The consistency of the polish is very thin and runny so I did need quite a few coats to get the opaque look I was after. Three I think it was?
One coat of Bold Blue appeared very transparent and I could clearly see the natural colour of my nail underneath. Two coats did create a full on colour but was still a little smeary for my liking but you could probably get away with it if you would like a paler finish.
Saying that each coat did dry really quickly as the polish seems to be thinner than your average so needing a few coats wasn't really a problem.
The picture below is without a top coat and you can see that my nails were left with a lovely opaque bright sky blue colour and a perfect shine.

They did chip quite easily but I am silly and always forget I have just painted my nails and end up washing up or having a shower. I read somewhere the other day that you should avoid soaking your nails in water for 24 hours after painting as even though they appear dry, they will still soak in water and effectly wash off and chip. Learn something new every day eh?

One thing I really love about these MUA nail polishes is the size of the brush head. It considerably smaller than your average nail polish brush which makes painting much easier and more accurate. You can easily get into the corners of your nails without too much effort and without painting the skin around the edge (normally a big problem for clumsy people like me!).

MUA nail polish retails at £1 and is available directly from the MUA website or exclusively at Superdrug.

Have you tried MUA nail polish?
Which colours will you be wearing this Spring/Summer?

Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Mascara

Oh how I love to try a new mascara on a whim....umm 3 for 2, it would clearly be rude not to....and to end up absolutely loving it!! Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Mascara is that product.
I love the original Colossal mascara and for some reason have never tried the other variations of it that Maybelline have introduced over the years (Volume Express Colossal and Volum' Express Colossal Smokey Eyes FYI).
So I was doing my usual lunchtime roam of Superdrug, I actually popped down there to buy a friends birthday present so had an excuse for a change, and decided I needed a new mascara. I was actually trying to avoid the Maybelline stand after HATING Falsies Big Eye mascara (I'm still yet to do a review on this in the hope it will get isn't so far) but then I remembered how much I loved the original Colossal formula so thought I'd give this a try.

Maybelline's campaign for this mascara goes something like this "Want Bigger? Bolder? No limits for your lashes" so I was expecting something pretty impressive.
Colossal go extreme has a different kind of wand to the original colossal mascara. It has a supersize brush and uses something called a superloading stem which ensures plenty of product reaches those bristles at the end, and subsequently our eyes. There's nothing I hate more than a great mascara but the opening at the top of the tube is too tight and scrapes all the product off as you pull your wand out!!
I'm not sure exactly how it works but it definitely seems to, the perfect amount of product was found on my wand everytime I pulled it out of the tube.

With & without mascara....I hope you can see which is which! haha
The consistency of the mascara is perfect in my opinion. Not too runny and wet (nobody needs smudging all over their eyelids!) but not too thick and gloopy either. I really can achieve the perfect look with just one coat of this mascara but it's also really buildable and with a couple of coats I'm left with proper va-va-voom lashes.
I love it!!

For a drugstore mascara I am really impressed and will be using this for the foreseeable future.
It retails at £6.99 which is a really reasonable price and don't forget you can normally pick it up in Boots or Superdrugs 3 for 2 deals.

Do you use Maybelline mascara?
I'd love to hear which ones are your favourites?

Our Holiday to Thailand

Now we've been back for a couple of weeks & I've finally come to terms with my holiday blues I thought what better time to have a flick through and share some of our favourite holiday pics with you lovely lot. Please bear with me if this ends up rather long because I can tell now, I am going to struggle to limit the photos *warning picture heavy post*.

So we travelled to Thailand for 2 weeks in April. The holiday had been booked for what felt like forever so I was so so excited when it actually came round. We booked through Thomson Worldwide and got a really good deal where we paid for 7 nights accomodation and got 7 free so this kept our costs down a lot. After a lot of umm-ing and aah-ing we opted to stay in Phuket which is the biggest of all the islands in Thailand and was pretty central for everything we wanted to do and see.

As far as I know when you book to go to Thailand you generally fly to Bangkok and then move onto a smaller plane for an hour or so down to the smaller airports on the islands (if that's where you are staying of course) but no not us....for some reason we ended up flying via Kuala Lumpur which turned out to be further than Thailand and then a small plane journey back on ourselves, which ended up being fine just a little unexpected.
We flew with Malaysian Airlines which I was naturally a little sceptical about with everything that has been going on with flight M370 going missing but I have to hold my hands up and say we absolutely could not fault them.
Being the plane geek hostie I am I was thrilled that we got to fly on one of the new Airbus A380 aircrafts - basically the new shiny super big double decker super planes for anybody who doesn't care! haha

The sun setting on Karon Beach - our first evening in Thailand <3
Elephant trekking with a view over Phuket harbour (our elephant was called Lucky FYI)
One of the stops on our speedboat tour, Bamboo Island - white sand anyone?
We thought about doing the whole travelling round Thailand thing but in the end decided against it. Me & the boy are pretty much just simple sun worshippers (even if the sun does love him a lot more than it loves my poor ginger skin!) and like to stay in and around the hotel, like a nice white beach and occasionally venture out on excursions if they take our fancy - usually boat trips to beaches.
We stayed in a little resort called Karon Beach which was on the west coast of Phuket towards the south of the island. Our transfer from the airport was around an 45mins and we were about 15mins away from the hustle and bustle of Patong if we fancied a livelier evening.
Our hotel was the Centara Karon Resort which was absolutely amazing and everything we hoped it would be. I'm deliberately leaving out a lot of hotel pictures and details so I can get a full hotel review up shortly (watch this space).

One of our beautiful pools, pool bar, jungle backdrop, hot hot sunshine...what more does
a girl need?
Me in the sea at Koh Phi Phi Don island
During our holiday we mostly stayed within our resort as I mentioned but we did venture out a few times for Elephant Trekking, Quad biking in the jungle, a day trip on a speedboat around Koh Phi Phi islands and to Tiger Kingdom. Obviously thrown in the mix was some shameless souvenir shopping, trips to the night markets, daily trips to the beach to see the sunset and lots of amazing food and cocktails.

Koh Phi Phi Leh aka Maya Bay aka THE Beach (as in Leonardo Di Caprio...who sadly wasn't filming a 15yr anniversary remake as I hoped) aka utter paradise! The most beautiful place on earth I'm convinced

Messing around with the boy at Maya Bay <3
Baby tigers!!!! So so cute and not drugged despite what you may hear
Please excuse my camera seemed to decide to get awfully steamy the day we went out on the speedboat so all my island pictures look a little foggy and mysterious! *ooops* The weather looks pretty grey as well but I can promise it was very very hot and sunny!

For anybody that hasn't been and is thinking of going to Thailand I would 1000% recommend it and even our resort in particular. We have never had a holiday like it and had the best time ever. Our first holiday as a couple back in 2007 was to Cancun and was going to take some beating but this has topped it.

Have you got any summer holidays booked for this year?
Have you ever been to Thailand? I'd love to hear your stories!

Michelle Keegan Lipsy collection

As my Michelle Keegan style crush post seems to be one of my most popular (here for anybody who would like to take a peek) I thought I would make sure you all know about this little piece of news that has escaped into the blog-o-sphere today....
Image: Michelle Keegan Instagram (@michkeegan)
Yes that's right Michelle Keegan is teaming up with Lipsy and designing her very own fashion collection and I cannot wait! Lipsy is one of my favourite shops and somewhere I know I can always go to find pretty much any look that I'm after at a really reasonable price. Whether it's that dress for a night out, some sky scraper heels or a big cosy knit to snuggle up in everything is always top quality and bang on trend.
Michelle excitedly announced on twitter earlier today that her first ever fashion line will be available in Lipsy stores and online from June 3rd. Launching just in time for Autumn '14 the collection is going to consist of over 30 pieces ranging from £28 to £85.
Michelle has described her collection as "classic, unfussy and feminine in style, each piece in my collection is something I'm excited about wearing".
It has already been confirmed that this will include of Michelle's favourite looks: sheer blouses, cigarette pants, bodycon dresses, lace dresses, sexy jumpsuits, tailoured evening jackets, tapered trousers, pussy bow blouses, pencil skirts, fluffy jumpers and ankle-grazing jeans.
Judging by Michelle's amazing fashion sense and style I imagine this is going to be one eagerly anticipated launch.
I know I for one am so so excited to see the full range & will definitely be popping down to my nearest Lipsy early June.
Will you be taking a look at Michelle's collection?
Do you usually shop at Lipsy?

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

I actually bought this beaut of a brush just before we went on holiday (along with the Real Techniques stippling brush - seperate review to follow at some point) but being the neat freak I am and not wanting to get my pretty new brush all sandy, I didn't end up taking it or using it until I got back a couple of weeks ago.
The expert face brush is part of the range of brushes designed by beauty blogging royalty Sam & Nic Chapman (aka Pixiwoo). I'm sure you all know their "makeup-artists to youtube superstars" story but in case you'd like to know anymore you can find details here
The expert face brush is designed to be "ultra firm and broad for the application and bleding of liquid or cream foundation" and I absolutely couldn't agree more.
Since discovering it I have been using this brush for just about everything face wise: concealer, foundation, blusher, bronzer. The expert face brush manages to blend my foundation in such a way that I feel like I'm hardly wearing any makeup, but at the same time am left with the full coverage that I love!
The shape of the brush head is slightly different to a normal foundation brush but I think that's a good thing and it seems to reach all the nooks and crannys on my face even better than my MAC 190. Plus somehow much foundation seem to be lasting much longer when applied with the expert face brush.

Now onto the bristles...this brush is simply so so so SO soft! I've literally never had a brush like it.
Real Techniques brushes use "ultra plus, synthetic bristles are hand cut and 100% cruelty free" which to be honest really must make all the difference.
As I said I haven't been using my new baby this brush for long but so far it hasn't shred at all and from what I've heard previously they hold their shape perfectly, stay baby soft & only shed a teeny teeny bit, if at all. So I'll keep you updated on that as I get more use out of it.
I really can't rave about this brush enough and would recommend it to everybody.
Real Techniques are now pretty widely available on the high street in Boots & Superdrug or online.
At around £8-9 depending on the shop I think this is an absolute bargain - a must have for every makeup bag.
Do you own any Real Techniques brushes?
What other brushes would you recommend from the Real Technique collection?

MUA Matte Lipstick in Totally Nude

Afternoon lovelies,

Today I have a little bargain to share with you, my new go-to everyday lip stick MUA Matte Lipstick in Totally Nude. This shade is very much a "my-lips-but-better" colour and I'm absolutely loving it!

I'm definitely not a stranger to a MUA lipstick or two but this is my first purchase from their relatively new "matte" range. A matte finish is definitely my preferred finish for a lipstick so I was thrilled to see this addition to the MUA makeup stand.
Totally nude is a true nude shade & one that I think can be worn with pretty much any look you like. I tend to reach for a nude lip day-to-day when I don't want to look too done or occasionally on a night out when I've gone heavy on the smokey eyes. Either way you can never have too many nude lippies to choose from right girls?
For a matte lipstick Totally Nude actually feels quite creamy on my lips. I wore it yesterday for our anniversary dinner & cinema trip and although it had definitely pretty much vanished by the time we got home it did last a good 2-3hours with eating and drinking. Anyhow I always think it's easier to reapply a nude shade throughout the day or night, much less mess than trying to apply a bright red shade in the dark in the cinema I would imagine! By the time it had faded the product had dried my lips out slightly but I do think you'd be hard pushed to find a lipstick with a matte finish that doesn't do this.

At the end of the day the important thing to remember here is that this lipstick is ONE POUND! Yes an absolutely amazing bargain price of £1.
There are 4 other shades in the MUA matte range (Pouty Pink, Scarlet Siren, Wild Berry & Peachy Keen) and yes I'm not ashamed to admit I will probably be purchasing the whole collection very soon.
You can find them here online at Superdrug, on the MUA website or at any MUA makeup stand

Moisturiser & MUA haul

Hi dolls
Yesterday I had a little splurge in my lunch hour..a girls got to make the most of her last 2 weeks working in London after all! So I thought I'd put together a little haul post to show you what I picked up.
I can't wait to try these bad boys out so keep your eyes peeled for product reviews coming soon.
I definitely think I've been letting my moisturising routine slip recently. Okay I use the term "slip" loosely, it's all but evaporated! I'm still loving my Haiwaiian Tropic after sun body butter but there's only so many weeks I can pretend I'm still on holiday! My skin is prone to getting dry & showing patches if I don't look after it as best I can & with my return to the skies imminent a good moisturiser is always important sooo I had a little stock up...

1) Nivea In-Shower body moisturiser with nourishing cocoa £1.82
2) Garnier Moisture Match softening cream in Start a Fresh £5.99 (I'm excited to try this one)
3) Garnier Micellar cleansing water £3.32 (yes I couldn't resist the hype! I am a sheep!)
4) MUA Undress Your Skin highlighting powder £3
5) MUA blusher in Marshmellow £1
6) MUA blusher in Bubblegum £1
7) MUA Hide & Conceal concealer in Natural £1

Have you tried any of these products?
I'd love to hear what you thought of them?

A little life ramble.....

Hi dolls! I'm afraid this post is starting with another apology that I have been MIA for a little while.
Apologising for this is becoming something I far too common for my liking at the moment so I thought I owed anybody who likes to read my ramblings, and myself really, a little explaination.
So as you probably remember me mentioning before I was supposed to start my dream job as Cabin Crew today. Yeah well that didn't happen!
And to say I'm devastated about it doesn't even begin to cover it.
Without going OTT on the details or boring you to death there were some problems with my references - nothing major but any little problem is an issue with something as strict as an airport ID -and I wasn't aware of this little problem until Wednesday (2 days before my start date, not ideal!) so unfortunately I now need to gather some extra information which just could not be done and processed in time for me to start when I had hoped.
So looking on the brightside, I will still be starting!...just not when I had hoped, or when I had planned leaving my current job around, or when I had ensured I had enough money to survive training around.
Very very luckily and I am so so grateful, my current job have agreed to keep me on for an extra two weeks which has absolutely saved my skin! Otherwise I would have left my job yesterday and not known when I would be due to start my new job which was a situation I've been petrified of getting myself into. Unfortunately airlines are known for carrying out very complicated referencing procedures so last minute problems like this can and do occur - I guess I was just hoping it wouldn't happen to me.
So basically with getting back from holiday last week, thinking I only had a few days left in my current job I was busy planning leaving lunches/catchups with friends in London, having my leaving doo (now unecessarily early! haha) and manickly attending uniform fittings for my new job.
Then when I finally stopped for breath to really knuckle down with my blogging I thought I was going to be jobless for the foreseeable future and was panicking about how we would pay our rent? how we would be able to eat? how i would put petrol in the car? and pretty much just freaking out about a million different scenarios that may or may not happen.
Thankfully it does look like everything will work out and hopefully I will have a start date for my new job really really soon to tell you all about.
What this space because as from now I'm back!!

Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Body Butter

Hi dolls,
While we are away in Thailand I thought I would introduce you to one of my summer holiday must have brands Hawaiian Tropic. When it comes to my suncare I do tend to splurge a little more and buy brands like Hawaiian and Piz Buin mostly entirely becase they smell so incredible....not going to lie, I'm a sucker for a holiday scent!

Hawaiin Tropic After Sun Body Butter is my new absolute favourite. Now don't get me wrong the sun creams smell amazing and always always remind me of holidays but this aftersun is actual summer in a tub I swear! Hawaiin Tropic describe the scent as Exotic Coconut but I can definitely detect banana as well. The ultimate summery Pina-Colada combination!! Yum!
I have been smothering myself in this top to toe for the last fortnight and am happy to say my skin feels lovely and moisturised and I haven't peeled at all, despite a teensy bit of burning (it was inevitable really!).
The formula is pretty thick so I understand it might not be for everybody - think a Body Shop Body Butter tub - but I really do adore it. Personally I don't like the typical, runny, clinical smelly aftersun's that are usually the standard in most drugstores.
This product is pretty much going to be my everyday moisturiser for the next couple of months, or at least until I have booked another holiday to cheer myself up and look forward to.
Hawaiin Tropic is a little pricier than your usual drugstore aftersun products but Boots have some great deals on at the moment with the summer fast approaching, buy one get one free!
I purchased quite a lot of our holiday suncare products online this year at Fragrance Direct. They have amazing discounts on high street prices, this body butter was £5.00 rather than £10.50 in Boots
What suncare products do you use?
Which brands would you recommend?

Style Crush - Mila Kunis

I haven't done a style crush post for a little while but this one is definitely worth the wait!
Mila Kunis - one of the most beautiful women in the world
Definitely girl crushing right now, her & Michelle Keegan are totally my faves!
I swear this lady can actually do no wrong! No matter what she wears she looks incredible - even in her gym kit *not even a teeny bit jealous, honest!*

If I had to pick a favourite look of Mila's it would probably either the red dress at the Friends With Benefits premier (second from left in top collage) or the casual day dress above (second from right) which I think is absolutely stunning!
Mila always looks amazing on the red carpet but I think her sense of style day-to-day when just popping out to run errands or grab coffee is what really sets her apart from other actresses her age.
The casual sweater & boyfriend jean look below is just so natural & "down-to-earth". I think Mila's style is definitely something we can all identify with and I know that's definitely something I would wear....just a shame I don't have the washboard abs!
I'm sure Mila will be an amazing mother and I can't wait to see more of her pregnancy wardrobe and how she will dress what will surely be the cutest tot in Tinseltown
What do you think of Mila Kunis' style?
Would you like access to her wardrobe for the day?

Thailand 2014

Morning dolls!!
I can actually barely contain the excitment typing this but by the time you are reading this post me and the boy will finally be on our plane to Thailand!
After booking our holiday what feels like a lifetime ago it has finally blimmin' arrived and even though we are flying with Malaysian Air & I am a little bit concerned our plane will get lost (how horrendous is everything that has happened to flight M370? I really hope they have some answers for those poor families by the time I get home!) I am still very very excited!
We are staying at a little resort called Karon Beach on the island of Phuket which I'm sure most of you have heard of. Here are some cheeky google snaps of some of the things we'll be getting up to....

Blogging is going to be taking a bit of a back seat for the next couple of weeks while I'm away but I'll have a couple of posts popping up so keep yours eyes peeled....
